2nd CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The Planning Committee for the Nordic Midwifery Congress welcomes you to Helsinki in Spring 2022. The theme of the Congress is “Midwives promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights”. Abstracts presenting research broadly around the theme are welcome. The theme covers, for example, fertility, family planning, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum period, neonatal nursing and midwifery, gynecological nursing and midwifery, sexuality, and sexual and reproductive rights (including, for example, sexual violence toward women).
Research findings can be presented orally or as posters. Please submit your abstract via email to the address given below, by 31 August 2021. The abstract should be written in English and the presentation should be held in English.
The following format should be used: font style Times New Roman, font size 12, and single spacing. Abstracts should not exceed 300 words (excluding the title of the work and author information). Please do not hyphenate the text and do not use any references or abbreviations without explanations. Type the title of the presentation with capital letters. Type the name(s) of the author(s), degree(s) and work place(s) below the title using italics. The abstract should include the following: Background, Aim, Methods, Results and Conclusions.
Below the abstract text, please indicate the contact person’s name and email address. This information will be provided in the book of abstracts. Finally, please indicate whether you prefer to give an oral or a poster presentation. However, please note that the Congress Planning Committee will make the final decision on the presentation format, after a scientific peer review of the abstracts.

Notification about the acceptance of abstracts will be sent by 13 December 2021 via email. The book of abstracts will be distributed in an electronic format to all participants attending the Congress.
